What do we offer?
⊳ Clinical Consultation
In case of any digestive disorder, the gastroenterologist examines first the patient and accordingly investigation tests are requested and/or medications are prescribed.
Endoscopy is the process of examining the interior surfaces of the gastrointestinal tract using a lighted, flexible instrument called an endoscope. In general, an endoscope is introduced into the body through a natural opening like the mouth or anus.
⊳ Upper Endoscopy
It evaluates the esophagus (swallowing tube), stomach and portions of the intestine.
It is a procedure that allows physicians to examine the lumen of the colon. It is needed to detect causes of unexplained changes in bowel habits or to evaluate symptoms such as abnormal pain, rectal bleeding and weight loss.
Flexible sigmoidoscopy is a procedure that enables physicians to examine the lumen of the large intestine from the rectum, through the "sigmoid" or descending colon.
⊳ Liver Biopsy
It is a procedure whereby a sample of liver tissue is taken for laboratory examination. Types of liver biopsy are: percutaneous liver biopsy or laparoscopic liver biopsy.
⊳ Stool testing
Sample of the stool will be examined at the laboratory for detection of blood or any infectious agents.
